Removal/disposal of existing solar hot water gear:
If you’re replacing an old roof-mounted or split solar system, removal can be more complex; steep/two-storey roofs may require a crane.
Relocation of services to a ground tank:
Moving hot/cold water or electrical services to the new ground-level tank adds time and materials; more changes = higher cost.
Compliance upgrades (electrical & plumbing):
Work must meet Australian standards; RCD/circuit upgrades or rectifying non-compliant plumbing can affect price.
Accessibility & site conditions:
Tight spaces, roof/ceiling access, excavation, or difficult positioning can require additional labour or lifting aids, impacting cost.
